One valuable page beside paper stack

Volume Was Never the Strategy

The advice to publish constantly made sense when search rewarded freshness and volume. It does not describe how discovery works now, and it produces archives full of thin pages that dilute the few genuinely useful ones.

A more durable approach is to identify the ten or fifteen questions your customers actually ask before buying, and answer each one properly enough that no competitor page is more useful.

Fifteen pages worth linking to beat three hundred worth ignoring.

Those pages keep earning traffic for years. Weekly filler posts stop earning anything within days of publication.

The test is straightforward: would someone bookmark this page, or send it to a colleague? If not, publishing it adds maintenance burden without adding value.

A Practical Content Process

This is the workflow we use with clients who have limited time and need content to actually earn its keep.

  • List the real questions from sales conversations
  • Answer one properly rather than five thinly
  • Update existing pages before writing new ones
  • Include specifics: prices, timelines, trade-offs
  • Remove or merge pages that never perform
