Sunway Pyramid is Malaysia’s first and largest thematic mall, open since July 1997 and part of the 800-acre Sunway City Kuala Lumpur township. Ahead of a RM200 million redevelopment adding 250,000 sq ft of net lettable area, the mall needed something to put in front of prospective retail tenants — an audience that wants footfall, catchment and shopper income, not brand storytelling.
The specific services delivered on the Sunway Pyramid microsite:
I designed and built the microsite as one argument delivered in a single scroll: the township first, then the mall, then who actually shops there, then what the redevelopment adds, then the contact. Every claim rests on the mall’s own figures rather than adjectives, and the Egyptian motif that makes the building recognisable runs through the hieroglyph dividers and wave section transitions so the pitch still reads as Sunway Pyramid.
The primary challenge was volume. A leasing case needs township credentials, sustainability commitments, catchment rings, connectivity, shopper demographics, redevelopment figures and floor plans — and a tenant will not read an annual report. Each section had to resolve to something scannable in seconds while still holding up to a leasing manager reading it properly.

What the microsite delivers for a prospective retail tenant:
A leasing pitch has to answer one question before any other: who walks past my shop, and how many of them. Everything on the page is arranged to answer that first, and only then to make the redevelopment feel like somewhere you want to be.
